On the way , visit Manakamna Devi Temple [by Cable Car]. This place is famous for the temple of Manakamna, one of the manifestations of the Hindu goddess Bhagwati. Manakamna temple is located 12 Km south of historic town Gorkha and situated on a prominent ridge (1302 mt. above sea level) overlooking the river valleys of Trisuli (south) and Marshyangdi (west). The unique location of this place is dramatized during winter when the ridge appears as an island above the sea of morning mist. People believe that Manakamna Devi fulfills the wishes of her devotees, thus called the wish fulfilling Deity. Manakamana is the first place where Cable car was introduced in Nepal and became extremely popular among the locals as well as the tourists. Fewa Lake, the biggest lake in the Pokhara, Annapurna Temple is a tiered temple dedicated to the main goddess of Ason – Annapurna Ajima. The temple was built under the Shah dynasty, in 1893 and then proceed to Devi’s waterfall, Visitors can try their luck on the luck pond constructed there by throwing and placing the coin on the statue of God. Likewise, one can find a model of traditional typical Nepali house and a series of statue of Nepali people wearing traditional dresses where visitors can click photo. After breakfast, visit Bouddhanath Stupa which lies 8 km east of Kathmandu. The colossal ancient stupa is one of the biggest in the world. After lunch, visit Swayambhunath, one of the world’s most glorious Buddhists chaityas. It is said to be 2000 years old, painted on 4 sides of the spire bases are the all-seeing eyes of Lord Buddha. Then visit Guheswari Temple , a very sacred temple which is dedicated to the Goddess Parvati. According to legend, the wife of Lord Shiva, Parvati sacrificed her life by burning herself to death in her father’s ritual fire. Her distressed husband then chose to wonder the world carrying the body of his dead wife as he did so. No words to explain the site other than posting the photos.
