Arrive and get greeted by your tour leader at Cochin international airport. Get transferred to Thattekad ,an evergreen lowland forest located between the branches of river Periyar . Thattekad bird sanctuary also known as the Dr. Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary is one of the richest bird habitat in peninsular India, comparable only with the eastern Himalayas. check into Hornbill Camp located on the banks of the river Periyar. A 45 min kayaking trip admist this great swathes of forests is an ideal sport for those inclined to be adventurous and explore the bio-diversity within these forests. Take a plantation/village walk to discover Kerala through its off-the beaten track trails and the interior villages. On the walk , you can walk into a rubber estate , a spice plantation and numerious farms where your guide will be happy to explain the intricacies of farm life. Overnight: Cottage Tented camp
Today after breakfast, get transferred to Munnar, situated in the westers Ghats mountain ranges . Enroute visit Kodanadu elephant training centre. You will be taking a spectacular 4 hour drive along the climbing road through forests and tea gardens, to the hill station of Munnar which is situated 1500 metres high in the mountains. The combination of crisp mountain air, craggy peaks and tall red wood trees make it a peaceful retreat. Here, endemic species of birds & animals find their home. Continue your journey past valara, Cheeyappara Waterfalls, tea plantations, spice plantations, Veg farms before you reach Munnar. The awesome scene of white waters cascading down from the top of a peak will remain forever in your heart as one of your most precious memories. Visit a tea factory to learn how tea is processed and go on to watch kathakali dance & kalaripayattu (traditional dance native to the southern state of Kerala) performance and Rest of the day is at leisure. Start your day with a yoga session followed by guided Nature walk through tea plantation. After breakfast, you will be transferred to Top station located around 32 km away from Munnar, the highest point (1700m) in Munnar, on the Munnar-Kodaikkanal road. The place falls on the Kerala-Tamil Nadu border. Here you can enjoy the panoramic view of Western Ghats and the valley of Theni district of Tamil Nadu. View the mountains filled in mist and start your journey to eco point Scenic spot on a reservoir featuring an echo phenomenon, visit Mattupetty dam, taste some fresh carrots, strawberries etc. Spend some time there and start your Jounery back to Hotel, enroute do some window shopping . Today after breakfast, You will be transferred to Thekkady known for Periyar National park, a lush evergreen and deciduous forest serving as home to various animals such as deer, elephants, Sambar, Nilgiri Langurs etc. Watch martial art form kalari . Check-into hotel and relax. Evening, proceed Towards Periyar sanctuary for a guided 3 hrs night trekking which intents to create a feeling of wilderness during night accompanied by an armed forest guard and 2 guides. Today after breakfast, you will be transferred to Alleppey to board overnight premium houseboat cruise. Check-into a floating houseboat. The coconut trees swaying in the cool, sea breeze, the green stretches of paddy fields on either sides, the flocks of ducks swimming about lazily, and the long necks of cormorants visible out of the surface of water. No matter how much one tries to describe it, no words can ever truly capture the true beauty of backwaters of Alleppey. Overnight : Houseboat
Today you will be transferred to Marari, a perfect beach destination .The indolent pace of local life makes vacating near the Marari beach a reviving experience. This destination will give you a close look at the village life . Take a walk through the village and interact with the local people to know more about their culture and livelihood. Today you will be transferred to Fort Cochin, the first European township in India is a melting pot of various cultures that were brought in as the Portuguese, dutch and English merchants set foot on its land in search of the lucrative spice trade. Perfectly paved roads lined with rain trees welcomes you as you walk along the ancient streets of Fort Cochin. Start your day with a walk along the beach walkway to see the fisherman going about their daily chores. You can also witness the Chinese fishing nets in action. Take a guided walk through the streets of Fort Cochin. Visit St Francis CSI church(oldest church built by Europeans in Inda), Dutch cemetery, Indo Portuguese Museum, Santa Cruz Cathedral Basilica, Mattancherry palace, jew street etc. Join a cookery class to learn how kerala cuisine is made. This day marks end of your holiday in Kerala. You will be transferred to Cochin International Airport with your fond memories.
The company reserves the right to postpone or cancel any of the tours advertised, without assigning any reason. In that case, money paid by the tour participant will be fully refunded but no compensation claim will be entertained.
Due to certain unavoidable circumstances, the Company reserves the right to change / modify / vary and alter the tour itinerary if it becomes necessary. In such changes, compensations or claiming of refunds by the tourist will not be entertained by the Company for limitation and also for the non- availability of certain services including museums, restaurants, sightseeing shopping etc. even though included in tour itinerary.
For Single passenger, without family, you will share a room either on twin or triple sharing basis (Roll away bed) depending on the booking. If we do not have a single person like you, then you will have to take the single supplement with an additional cost.
The tariff of the tour quoted is calculated as per the rates prevailing at the time of quoting it. The Company reserves the right to change the tariff in the event of modification / alteration / change / variation in the said rates before the date of departure.
Tour tariff is based on departure from Cochin, unless specifically mentioned. Tourists boarding flights at places other than Cochin have to pay the entire airfare difference and bear and pay any other additional expenses including airport transfers, hotel stay etc. on that account.
Tour cost is based on minimum 30 passengers travelling together in the group. If there is a drastic fall in the number, then the offered meal plan, vehicle and other services may change accordingly.
Company takes care to select hotels and book the same on behalf of tourists at convenient locations subject to availability. In case of non-availability of rooms in same hotel, Company has the right to split the accommodation in different hotels. Hotel accommodation is generally provided on Twin sharing basis in standard rooms and the third bed is often a roll-away mattress put in a twin bedded room. Airconditioning, central heating and other facilities are provided by the hotels depending upon various factors including weather / climatic conditions, local systems, tour type, etc.
As a Travel House / Tour Operators, the company does not have any control over Airlines, Railways, Coach Companies, Shipping Companies, Hotels, Local Transport or any other facilities, provided by the third parties. The company is not responsible for the delays or deficiencies in the services provided by outside agencies. Also please note that the company does not have any control on schedules of opening and closing timings of the tourist attractions.
In computerized reservation system of Indian Railways/Airlines, the berths / seats once reserved cannot be changed. Tour participants will have to travel by the same berth/seat as mentioned in the ticket, issued by Indian Railways/Airline.
Tour participants are requested to collect their Railway / Air tickets from the respective offices of Fortune Destination Management, only after making the full payment, from where they have booked their tour. No tickets will be sent by courier.
Any disputes arising in respect of the tour shall be subject to Ernakulam Jurisdiction.
Reservation could be made through mail, fax or phone clearly stating the services required. We take the undertaking process of these reservations and duly confirmed the arrangements. An advance payment is required to secure confirmed booking of your program and balance payment in on commencement of Journey.
